What it is: Arena.ai saying DeepSeek-V4-Flash-High has reshaped the Frontend Code Arena Pareto frontier with an arena score of 1586.
Gist: The post's claim is not just that DeepSeek has another strong model. It is that DeepSeek-V4-Flash-High is unusually cheap for where it lands on the frontend-code price/performance curve. Arena lists it at $0.14/$0.28 per million tokens in the post, while the attached chart shows it around $0.25/M blended price, with a 1586 score.
The chart places it on the Pareto frontier alongside much more expensive models: Claude Opus 5 Max, Kimi K3 Max, GLM 5.2 Max, then DeepSeek-V4-Flash-High, before dropping toward cheaper/lower-scoring models such as Laguna XS 2 and Granite 4.1 8B. Visually, the point is that DeepSeek is close to the frontier-model score band while sitting far to the cheap side of the x-axis.
The quoted DeepSeek launch post adds the product angle: V4-Flash is in public beta, has upgraded agent capabilities, supports the Responses API format, and is adapted for Codex.
